K-type thermocouple is a temperature sensor that is typically used in conjunction with display instruments, recording instruments, and electronic regulators. K-type thermocouple is currently the most widely used low-cost metal thermocouple, with a usage equal to the sum of other thermocouples. K-type thermocouples can directly measure the surface temperature of liquid vapor and gas media, as well as solids, ranging from 0 degree to 1300 degree in various production processes. K-type thermocouples typically consist of temperature sensing elements, mounting fixtures, and junction boxes, among other main components. K-type thermocouples have the advantages of good linearity, high thermoelectric potential, high sensitivity, good stability and uniformity, strong anti-oxidation performance, and low price. They can be widely used by users in oxidizing inert atmospheres.
② Wide measurement range. Commonly used thermocouples can measure continuously from -50~+1600 degree , while some special thermocouples can measure temperatures as low as -269 degree (such as gold iron nickel chromium) and as high as+2800 degree (such as tungsten rhenium).
When the operating temperature is between 1300~1800 degree and high precision is required, B-type thermocouples are generally selected; The requirement for accuracy is not high, and the atmosphere allows for the use of tungsten rhenium thermocouples. Generally, tungsten rhenium thermocouples are selected for temperatures above 1800 degree ; S-type thermocouples and N-type thermocouples are available for use at temperatures ranging from 1000 to 1300 degree , which require high accuracy; K-type and N-type thermocouples are generally used below 1000 degree , while E-type thermocouples are generally used below 400 degree ; At 250 degree and negative temperature measurements, T-type thermocouples are generally used. At low temperatures, T-type thermocouples are stable and have high accuracy.
